In the ancient times, it was the most important Hellenic Oracle that’s why was named the center of the world, it is located also in the mainland of Greece.

You shouldn’t miss going there, what I suggest is you stay in Athens at least for 3-4 days to see the basics and then book a trip to go to Delphi and then you can also visit Meteora. There are a few ways for you to reach Delphi, you can go there either by a car or by bus, if you drive there it will take around 2 hours and 20 minutes and if you take a bus it will take around 4 hours. The distance from Athens to Delphi is 185 kilometers which is around 115 miles.
How do you get from Athens to Delphi with a bus? In order for you to get to Delphi with a bus you will need to go to the bus station of Liosion 260 in Athens with zipcode 10445. How do you get there? In order for you to get there you can either book a taxi or use public transportation, for public transportation you can use google maps in order to tell you the best way to reach there by your current location.

Can you get a train from Athens to Delphi? Unfortunately, there are no trains that connect Athens with Delphi and the only way for you to get there is either by car or the buses. Those buses are called KTEL and you can find them on the address that I shared above.
