The main shopping area of Athens and best-known as the biggest shopping street of the city starts just below the Syntagma Square and ends at Kerameikos, as you walk by you will find a small square with a church in the middle, that church is the well-known church of Kapnikarea(1*) which is one of the oldest churches in Athens.
The area around Ermou street hosts a few large shopping centers but mainly keeps visitors busy with its quaint shops, swanky boutiques, kitchy souvenir shops and classy cafes.
The Shopping hours in Greece are not standard, shops opens hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are from 09:00 – 15:00 and 17:00 – 21:00. Departments stores are open non-stop from 09:00 – 21:00. Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays from 09:00 – 17:00 and 09:00 – 18:00 for Department stores
Kolokotroni(2*) street is filled up with bars/pubs/coffee shops/restaurants and is well known for the night life, as you walk by Kolokotroni str. you will find Aiolou on your left
On Aiolou(3*) str you will find a big church called(Agia Irini)(4*) – next to that church are many bars/pubs/coffee shops/restaurants

Mitropoleos(5*) street basically connects Syntagma Sq. with Monastiraki area
These were some of the most busiest streets around Ermou area willing to offer many places for every need/taste, of course if you are willing to explore every little alley you will find much more
